Cauliflower ‘Hot Wings’

Impress your mates with these deliciously naughty bite-size ‘wings’
Difficulty Level: Easy
Makes: 15-20 pieces


1 head of cauliflower
¾ cup of plain flour
¾ cup of milk
¼ cup of water
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of paprika
1-2 cups of breadcrumbs
1 cup of barbeque sauce
1-2 teaspoons of hot sauce of your choice (e.g. Sriracha)
Shredded parsley, to serve
Warm pita bread or tortillas, to serve


  1. Preheat the oven to 200 C
  2. Carefully break the cauliflower up into bite size pieces
  3. In a bowl, combine the flour, milk, water, garlic powder and paprika
  4. One by one, dip the cauliflower pieces into the mixture (completely coating them), roll them in the breadcrumbs and then set them on a greased baking tray. Do not overlap the pieces
  5. Bake the cauliflower for 25 mins
  6. Transfer the cauliflower into a bowl and pour over the BBQ and hot sauce. Mix until well combined
  7. Transfer back onto the tray and bake for a further 20 mins or until well cooked
  8. Serve warm, topped with parsley
